'Sad day for youth baseball' as 3 charged at Colo. kids' game | News Bizarre | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle
CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — Police charged three parents — including the town prosecutor — with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after a brawl during a youth baseball tournament put a player in a hospital, a city official said Monday.

The fight involved at least six adults during a game for 12-year-olds, and police were still trying to sort out what triggered the brawl and who was involved, KUSA-TV reported.
Part of me can't wait until my son is ready for Little League but another part of me fears this. Not a brawl with injuries, but having to deal with parents arguing with umpires.

My nephew played Little League in suburban Houston. I went to one of his games when he was seven. I had to listen to my idiot brother in law arguing balls and strikes.

WTF is wrong with sports parents in our country?!?

This is mild. In the town where I'm currently living, the Sheriff's department got into a bench clearing brawl with the local Wal-Mart employees during their softball game. Oh, not to mention the field was situated between two other fields one of which had a t-ball game happening and the other a girls softball game. Rumor has it only one person was working and it was a teenager. He was going to call for help but everyone with the Sheriff's department was already on the field and involved. :)
