Yes; I want to control TV 1 just like we do TV 2 (and keep the dish box enclosed in the cabinet).
Cool... $40.00 isn't too bad!
Further clarification:
Bottom line: With a 942/622/722, you need a 6.2 or 6.3 to create a TV1 remote that will control the receiver from another room with UHF Pro. A 6.0 won't work for this purpose but will work fine for the TV2 remote.
Dang!!! I guess I walked into that by "being in front of the 622" like the Dish CSR told me to when he walked me through the setup.Further clarification:
The 6.0 remote has two modes. UHF Pro with the chip/key/whatever-you-wanna-call-it on the blue #2 side. And IR-only with it flipped over to green #1.
You better post which receiver model you have and get an answer from pepper. I had assumed it was a 622. Isn't it?Sorry to be such an idiot, but I'm not clear. For my situation, the DVR (just the basic non-HD currently) will be connected to TV 1, but placedin a cabinet.
TV 2 (upstairs) has a UHF(?) remote already. I want to control TV1 in the same manner as TV2. Will either a 6.2 or 6.3 accomplich this??
Thanks again, and sorry to be so thick on this!
That sure is the information† I was looking for!Visit the tech portal remote guide and look on the bottom of page three.
It shows the exact remotes that work with your receiver, which keys do what, etc...
