FYI, we are talking about football and not baseball, not basketball, and certainly not hockey. The bottom lines that with the return of 2K Football, EA will be forced to finally release a Madden title worthy of our beloved next generation systems. The past two Madden titles on the next-gen systems have been missing something. IGN even selected the Xbox version as the best when comparing them all. Yet 360 owners paid $10 more for an inferior version.
With any luck 2K8 will be awesome and EA will finally step up and release a solid and complete Madden title. Both will sell huge numbers, the NFL will recognize that exclusivity is a bad thing and end their contract with EA, NFL2K9 will feature the NFL license again and console football will be great again.
