I was fine with the way that it ended. There pretty much had to be a big "shocking" loss to be consistent with the 24 methodology. I was afraid it was going to be Chloe. I think they could go lots of different directions if they want to with the way they ended it. There was a lot of time between the end of the action and the meet (12 hours) so there were a lot of things that could be done to track Jack (reposition satelites, insert a tracking device, etc.). Jack was pardoned so he could have the support of the U.S. government again. OR that could be end end of Jack and they can go a different direction with a different character using the same "real-time" format.
