I am a commercial headend tech. I have (9) 211k rcvrs in a rack. 8 turn off at night. The timers are all disabled. The software on the errant units start with "L" the one rcvr that does not turn off software version starts with a " X". IIRC commercial software is supposed to start with an "X". Dishnet commercial is unable to help. i had them disable then re-authorize one rcvr with no help. I also had them hit the rcvrs. Also the Boot Strap numbers are different on the units (by one digit). BTW what's Boot strap? Any ideas?

Setup an auto tune timer everyday a few minutes after the receivers do the daily software update

You sure these are not residential receivers?

I had a commercial headend and Mr Patel was using a 211 for the porn channel on his residential account and this is how we fixed it.

These are not residential rcvrs. The system has been in for at least a couple years now. My guess is still the "X" software prefix.

That auto tune feature doesn't work anymore, you have to turn on receivers manually, Dish killed that fix months now, also on the Hoppers receivers about two weeks ago

I beg to differ with you but I have autotune timers that turn all 3 Hopper 3's on to the news every morning at 5:30AM. They've been working for years and worked this morning as usual.

Take the last update on H2000 model, I have to turn them on every morning, going to try again later with a hopper and 211k

I don't have a Hopper 2000 or Hopper 1 but the software for the all the Hoppers is basically the same.

These are not hoppers, just plain old 211K's in a rack feeding HD encoders going to the rooms. I am confident it is the L vs X software thing. Any ideas on how to change the L to an X? Some sort of MEGA reset?

Software begins with L is for residential account, try adding a new receiver to your account

You may be right but why not try the autotune many have used that forever.

Sent from my KFDOWI using the SatelliteGuys app!

Autotune is a timer that merely changes the channel but does not record, it is used to wake the DVR up after the nightly download/reboot.
