I've upgraded to a 211k from a 311 since December. I have a guest for about six months and I don't want to make a long term contract. What would be the cheapest way to get my programming to the other TV without having an extra commitment or expensive receiver? The 311 I still have which I own. Wish I'd thought of this when they installed probably would have been a lot more simple.

Assuming you're on western arc, just activate the 311. If you're now on eastern arc, then you are stuck acquiring another receiver that's mpeg-4 capable. Any Dish-subsidized upgrade is going to add to your commitment. But you can buy another 211 or even 222 for very little. (The 222 gives you a TV2 SD output.)

Thanks for asking. I am happy to help look at the alternatives you could consider. Please PM your account info, and I will see what can be done for you. Activating the 311 is a possibility, which will add cost to your bill. There may be additional options that are possible, too.

Thanks,
