211 HDMI Port Question

I just upgraded to a 211 from an old 510 I had but haven't hooked it up yet. (Box just came in the mail yesterday.) I noticed it had an HDMI port, but unfortunately, the TV i have only has the component ports and not the HDMI one. I was just wondering if I could somehow use the HDMI port to hook up the DVD player I have where it would work through the 211 box.

The HDMI port is for output only so it wouldn't do any good to hook it up to the DVD player. Don't worry about using the component out to your TV. You'll get just as good a picture as with HDMI, you'll just have to use separate audio connections.

Actually I have a great flat screen tv I use in the family room but someone gave me this one free which allowed me to get rid of the old projection style TV that was there in the basement before... can't beat that! The picture is great - especially for the price. Thanks all for your help - saved me some time anyways testing something that wouldn't work.

This is a great excuse to upgrade that TV to a nice flat screen.
