2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

C'mon he did it on purpose, like I said I am not complaining it's not the reason the Bruins lost.

As for your assertion that the Bruins are playing dirty, I haven't seen it. But next time you do feel free to call 9-1-1.

Winning? They haven't won since Brandon Walsh and Dylan McKay were graduating from high school.

Donna Martin graduates!! Donna Martin graduates!! DONNA MARTIN GRADUATES!!! :)

You're either not watching the same game (maybe), have no clue about hockey (doubt it) or watching it via NESN and their homie announcers (most likely).
As for 911...sure no problem, i'll call next time and say it was your idea. :D

Maybe if you mention something negative about your team (example: Subban's cheap shot hit last night) you would gain, you know, some credibility. But you go on and on about how the Bruins are dirty (something I have NEVER heard until you called them that here), but never have a bad word about your own team. If anyone is the definition of the word "homer", I'm afraid it's you. ;)

I have not been able to watch the whole series like I would have liked too, but, as for the wining going on about this cheap shot or that play .... sheesh.

You guys both know that if EVERYTHING were to get called, we would have a continuous line up going to the Penalty Box ... No one wants that.

Read again! I'm not "whining" about anything. I'm simply pointing out the cherry picking of calling plays cheap shots.

About 5 minutes to go in the third and the pens are up by 2. The 2 headed monster (Crosby and Malkin on the same line) seems to be working.

You would hope the Home team would have some say about it.

I don't know, but does the NHL have next years playoffs scheduled as in what nights ?

No. Even if they could get the dates figured out that far in advance, there's no guarantee their team will make it, and if they do, who's home and who's the away team?

Thursday's schedule

Bruins at Canadiens- 7:30pm ET (NBCSN)- Canadiens lead series 2-1
Ducks at Kings- 10:00pm ET (NBCSN)- Kings lead series 2-0

IIRC, all pro teams "reserve" certain venue dates in case of the playoffs (which can run almost 2 months). Almost like taking a driving test blindfolded. I like 1 day breaks between games (assuming the travel time between locations isnt big). The NBA playoffs...those days off make for long series.

Ay ya ya Bill! You have no idea how frustrating it is to be a Habs fan. Here's one for you.. when was the last time the Habs signed a star unrestricted free agent?

Players say all the right things about Montreal but really dont want to play here.. especially the Quebec born players. Too much media pressure, high taxes, political balony etc.

The Habs are under extreme pressure to sign French speaking local players. French media almost always explodes when an English guy is signed plus the racist/seperatist government chimes in as well...

When a French player is a UFA...The Habs have to throw in more $$$ into the pot. Then the negotiations are always down between Montreal "and another team" and the UFA always signs w/ the latter. French UFAs use the Habs as leverage to get a better deal eslwhere... Danny Briere, Lecavalier, St-Louis etc all done it.

Furthermore, the Habs always overpay for an over the hill french player at the end of their career (danny briere, dandenault, juneau, brisebois, dykhuis, darche etc) otherwise they'd never come here...Would the Bruins give 36 year old Danny Briere a 2 year 8 mil contract? Doubt it.

Players complain they cant go out in public. The late great Maurice Richard was getting standing ovations wherever he went (mall, restaurants, gas stations) right until he passed. Yesterday, 4th liner Weise was on the news..said when he was in Vancouver, no one knew who he was...but here now he's getting rock start treatment whenever he steps out....did I say he's a 4th line winger?

Taxes... 48%

As per Pernel Karl... not a big fan. No doubt the kid is talented but way too much mustard on the hot dog for my taste. Everytime Mike Camillarri use to score, he'd do a subtle fist pump...not act like a circus clown.

Cheers, K

PS- Bruins are still dirty!

Not true, unless they also own the arena. From what I know, there is an agreement not to hold multi-day events like circuses during this time, but concerts will always be scheduled. These venues have to be able to make money....

Sometimes they get lucky, and the concert performer agrees to reschedule: Lady Gaga’s Verizon Center show rescheduled for May 12, eliminating Washington Wizards conflict

Interesting... I thought once an event was scheduled it was set in stone.

In Montreal, in the early 2000s. CFL's Montreal Alouettes made the playoffs (their home, The Olympic Stadium was booked for 2 U2 concerts for that specific weekend). As a contigency, they played the game at McGill University in downtown Montreal. IIRc, there were 18k seating capacity at the time.
Open stadium, stellar view of downtown Montreal, literally in the middle of downtown.. the response was so overwhelming the team moved there full time and it literally saved the franchise.

Cheers, J
