2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

I would agree, though the old wings are cup contenders I think is on hold for a few years. Making the playoffs ok, legit contenders for the cup not at this time

As always, Detroit fans very classy. IMO, to a man the classiest fan base on this site. And with the way that Red Wings organization is run, I have no doubt they will be back to their Stanley Cup winning ways sooner rather than later.

As far as the Bruins go, they are clearly the favorites in the East- if not the entire NHL. That said, the Canadiens ALWAYS gives them fits, and once again a series upset wouldn't shock me.

Sunday's schedule

Flyers at Rangers- 12:00pm ET (NBC) Series tied 2-2
Blues at Blackhawks- 3:00pm ET (NBC) Hawks lead series 3-2
Ducks at Stars- 8:00pm ET (NBCSN) Ducks lead series 3-2

Season over for the Blues, trailing now 5-1, with a few minutes to go.

Btw, it was tied at the end of 2 periods.

The Blues ended this series (4 straight losses) the way they ended the regular season (6 straight losses). In between they took a 2-0 lead in this series. Meanwhile, the defending champs await the Avalanche-Wild winner.

I found it shocking how the Blues went from one of the Best a Month ago ... then losing the last whatever it ended up being to come into the playoffs, I've never seen a collapse quite like that for what was a Top team .

That's why I picked the Blackhawks in 5 , but then the Blues went up 2-0 in the series.

Monday's schedule

Penguins at Blue Jackets- 7:00pm ET (NBCSN) -Penguins lead series 3-2
Avalanche at Wild- 9:00pm ET (CNBC) -Avalanche lead series 3-2
Sharks at Kings- 10:00pm ET (NBCSN) -Sharks lead series 3-2

Bruins and Habs round 2 will be the series to watch. Despite the Broons being the better team (on paper), I expect the Habs to continue their winning ways against Boston... Seems whenever you dangle the bleu-blanc-rouge in front of the Boston players, they react like enraged bulls. They don’t simply want to win, they want to pillage and lay waste which is why they'll lose. Sorry BillD!

I agree, tough matchup for the Bruins. This puppy is going to sudden death OT in the 7th game. I got my Prilosec ready! :)

The Habs and Bruins are meeting each other for the 34th time in the postseason, far and away the most in North American sports.

The next two weeks will be forever known as the " Kraven Torments Bill" week.

Hide the women and children....
