Seattle Seahawks Sherman painting Pats as villains
http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_27392994/sherman-painting-pats-villains?source=rss

Forgetting all of the distractions going on right now, like deflategate, predictions of a Patriot win, possible fines for Marshawn Lynch, etc.,I'm still sticking with the Seahawks. The 12th Man will cause the same problems in Glendale as it did in New Jersey. The Seattle fans will still be the loudest in the house & the Patriots need to be prepared for that with silent counts a major part of that preparation. The Patriots need to play this game as if they are playing in Seattle itself. This is still a pick-em game & the Seahawks have as much a chance of winning as the Patriots.
You REALLY think that Noise will be an issue ?
It shouldn't be an issue for ANY team playing in the SB, they have all been thru the Noisy stadium situations.

You really think the Pats don't run an offense with silent counts ?

Coming into the game since the teams were decided, I had no preferance, neither team is My team, generally I will have a preferance of one team or the other, many times I will sit down and watch the game with no preferance and decide as the game starts to go thru say the 1st quarter who I really want to win ... I have several players on each team that I like ... Wilson, Lynch (outside of his stupid gestures and lack of cooperation in interviews), Brady and a few others.

However with all that has happened to these teams and players, I think come game time I will be pulling for the Pats, just because of all the crap they have had to deal with.

They should be prepared to do it(silent count) on their first offensive play, after that they can decide if they want to keep doing it or not. They sure don't want a repeat of what Peyton & the Broncos did on their opening play of the game. The Patriots are better than that. I'm sure that they have watched tapes of that game(for how crowd noise played a part in that game. "We weren't prepared for the crowd noise" is no excuse) AND watched plenty of tapes of the Packers game against the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. Lesson No. 1,if there's a chance you can get a first down or TD on 4th down,GO FOR IT,screw the field goal. Lesson No. 2,if you get an interception against the Seahawks,RUN,don't slide. Lesson No. 3,the Seahawks are like the slasher/monster in the slasher/monster movies WHO NEVER DIE,they always come back. With that in mind,RUN UP THE SCORE & don't stop running up the score. Play with the mindset of,"If we let up,they'll come back."

Hmmm, and to think coaches get yelled at for continue scoring.

My theory, keep scoring till the other team finds a way to stop you ...
Thier job is to stop you, if they can't, thats on them, not the team scoring.

That's the best respect that you can show the Seahawks,by running up the score & not letting up.

I predict that the Super Bowl will start out almost seemingly verbatim, like the Packers-Seahawks Championship game did,in the Patriots favor. The question then becomes, will the Patriots let the Super Bowl end like the Packers-Seahawks Championship Game did,can they keep from making mistakes like the Packers did & allow the Seahawks to come back? Will the Patriots let the game get away from them?

It looks like Hate-gate is going IVY league. Several sites are reporting that the NHL is contacting Ivey league physics professors to prove/disprove BB's claim.
This really looks like the NFL screwed up, threw the Pats under the bus and is now grasping at straws to find any excuse not to look back.

Once the Super Bowl is over, all of this will die out & people will move on to something else. I know I got my licks in early, but this Deflategate scandal has really taken away from discussing the Patriots-Seahawks match-up. Have you read any articles matching up Seahawk starters with their Patriot counterparts? You know, comparing Brady to Wilson,Belichick to Carroll,Revis to Sherman,Bell to Lynch, offensive line to offensive line, special teams to special teams, etc. & who has the advantage?

62,000 Idiots Want the Patriots Banned From Super Bowl XLIX

You just can't make this stuff up folks.

Patriots' Hotel Fire Alarm Goes off Twice in 3 Nights Before Super Bowl
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...e-alarm-the-night-before-super-bowl-media-day

Sounds like the work of "Mama Sherman" & the Legion of Super Fans(Dana Perino of Fox News "the Five" blamed/accused Seahawks fans for pulling the alarm,& called it cheating).

I have yet to find a serious article that actually matches each team up line-up for line-up,position for position, coach to coach, etc.,& actually grade each match-up. Instead we're getting a steady diet of Deflategte,to a far lesser extent,Marshawn Lynch,& now,Richard Sherman may miss the Super Bowl because of his girlfriend giving birth(which may be code for his elbow not healing fast enough for him to play). I've gotten more information about who Katy Perry is having perform with her than ACTUAL Patriots-Seahawks on the field football news. The Patriots have no room on their bulletin board for Richard Sherman quote(not quotes) to fire them up because it's too filled up with articles attacking them about Deflategate. It was a lot more fun last year debating the Broncos-Seahawks Super Bowl build up.

Ok I understand but I'd skip it then. All the nonsense is turning people off. I think we're about to see one of the best superbowls In awhile and instead I'm seeing a lot of BS being posted. Maybe it's best to keep this in the fodder thread.

Two weeks is too long to wait for the Super Bowl to be played after the championship games. At least we have 2 more days to go before the game is finally played AND OVER. Go Seahawks by the way.

Grade them, position by position & explain why
Quarterbacks-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(remember,Tom Brady also edged Eli Manning too, twice, before the Super Bowl games were played against the Giants,& we remember how that turned out.)
Running Backs-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(Beastmode versus.......?)
Receiving Corps-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(I give the edge to the Patriots.)
Offensive Line-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(Seahawks line is banged up)
Defensive Line-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(now we are getting into the Seahawks' strength)
Linebackers-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(ditto for the Seahawks)
Defensive Secondary-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(Derrelle Revis versus Richard Sherman with one hand tied behind his back. Revis has the Island,Sherman has the Legion of Boom)
Special Teams-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks
Poaching-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks
The 12th Man-New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks(Seattle fans will be there AND LOUD)

Only problem with this idea is that Brady doesn't play against Wilson exctra, excetra.

Should go, Pats O line vs Hawks D Line and so forth.

Fwiw, the way I see it ... Brady has the obvious edge over Wilson.
Lynch has the edge over the Pats.

This game will come down to the Trenches, as usual.

If the Pats keep Brady clean and has time to throw, the Pats will do very well.
If the Hawks O Line controls the line, then Lynch will make the game very interesting.

While the Patriots offense & the Seahawks defense will be the Clash of the Titans, how the Seahawks offense & the Patriots defense play each other will be key. The Patriots defense is not as good as the Packer defense. While I predicted that this game would seem like a virtual carbon copy of the beginning of the Packers-Seahawks Championship game,I also believe that the Patriots defense will give the Seahawks FEWER fits than the Packers defense gave them. The Seahawks are notoriously slow starters, saving their best for the 4th quarter. So while the Patriots may deceive themselves into believing that they have another easy victory like they had against the Colts, the Seahawks will come back to bite them in the @$$. This pre-game build-up,minus the deflategate distractions, almost seems like Deja Vu all over again comparing it to last years Broncos-Seahawks Super Bowl game. The Seahawks also struggled against the 49ers while the Broncos had an easier time winning their championship game against the Patriots.
All of the talking heads are predicting a Patriots victory, just like they did last year predicting a Broncos victory. Will they be proven wrong AGAIN by a Seahawks team that gets NO RESPECT? Just like last year,Russell Wilson doesn't have to be the best QB on the field,he just has to be good enough.

Seahawks wide receivers have a message: Don't underestimate us
https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-...essage--don-t-underestimate-us-234509378.html
"I want y'all to write this down," Baldwin said at the time. "Write this down, OK? Remember when we were 3-3? Everybody counted us out! Y'all didn't believe in us! A whole bunch of people saying that we weren't going to make it, right? When we were 6-4 [you were like], 'Aw, it's OK, they got a winning record, but they not gonna go to the playoffs.

"Remember that? [Trailing] 16-0 at the first half! How many y'all counted us out?! How many y'all doubted us? It's indicative of our entire season. Y'all don't want to believe in us, it's OK. You ain't gotta believe in us because we can believe in ourselves."
