Getting close, adding 2 more would make it at 14 I think .... getting too close ...
Upon further revue,in order for all four division winners to get byes,you'd possibly need EIGHT wildcard teams per conference & STILL end up with an extra week to the play-offs(I really didn't think this through). Back to the drawing board,or just leave as is for now. Hey,the 8-8 Cardinals came from a sorry division in 2008 & made for a very exciting Super Bowl,maybe history can repeat itself with the Panthers.
Adding two more teams will almost guarantee, there will be a .500 or less team involved in the playoffs, hopefully they won't be allowed to Host a game.
I've looked into that before, in the last decade out of 20 more playoffs trans it works have let in an 8-8 team like 4 times. More frequently it would be a team with 9-11 wins.
Come to think of it, 2 more teams would allow 2 teams with better records in, if like this year a division winner has a .500 or less record.
Hopefully they change the rules and re seed teams as a conference.
Theres too many teams now with not enough talent, add more teams, allows less talent per team.
Playoffs begin today. Kind of weird having a playoff game on ESPN, but I guess it's something we'll have to get used to. I'd rather see Carolina move on than Arizona. Don't really care who moves on between Baltimore and Cincinnati.
Problem with this idea and the College game (bowls) as well, is for those that don't have access to ESPN ...
My parents have D*, but will be travelling and not get to thier destination till sometime Monday, because of this, he won't be able to just set up camp and turn the TV on and watch the Bucks vs Ducks on the OTA antenna, instead he has to hope to have enough time to set up the dish before 8 pm on game day.
Carolina, Arizona, doesn't matter to me, Carolina isn't very good and Arizona is on thier 17th QB ... I have no clue who wins this one.
You know Baltimore is not playing Cincy, right ?
If the Panthers win,I assume they'll be playing the Seahawks next. Unfortunately,I believe that the dream will end there with the Seahawks winning. Whichever team plays the Packers,I predict a polar vortex will hit Green Bay with record low temps.

Congrats to the Ravens. They are true road warriors at playoff time. The Pats offense has been down lately and the Ravens always play tough against Brady. If their pass rush looks like it did last night I think that they are going to win.

Let's see if this reporter is right about the Ravens being the team that the Patriots have to fear. Maybe the Ravens are the team that can knock off both the Patriots & the Broncos,I just don't see the Bengals or the Colts being able to do that.

Hey,at least it's not as bad as when Pittsburgh was beaten by a Tim Tebow led Broncos team.
I'm watching the NYPD funeral on the "big screen" & the Bengals-Colts game on my Kindle Fire(via Slingbox),which is hard because we also have a tornado watch/warning in our viewing area & they have been cutting away to cover that too.
