Is this the Android media player the same as Roku player?

Just thinking if IPTV is the new trend maybe my next box will be one of these, (if it is free)?

No, different animal, especially if the device can have both an ATSC and DVB/S-2 tuner, be able to record (via a tv guide, like myth or MCE), with it's DLNA server, built-in browser, contains many plug-in channels (like the Roku) then it may be promising.
