2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Word is that IF Vancouver wraps up the WCF in 5 games AND the ECF ends in 6 games (which would be Wednesday night), the Stanley Cup Finals will get underway next Saturday night in Vancouver.

If one or other doesn't happen, the the SCF wouldn't get underway until AT LEAST a week from tomorrow night.

It's also got to piss off the Sharks as for this to happen the refs have to be calling the game VERY picky.

30% of the period they were playing 2 men down.

The calls were actually legit. 2 were for 2 many men on the ice and the other was for delay of game. Those penalties aren't judgment calls. Sharks were very undisciplined during the 2nd period. Not to mention that the Sharks were on the the powerplay for 8 of the first 22 minutes of the game and could not produce a goal.

There seemed to be a boat load of Canucks fans at HP pavilion today. Or they were just a very vocal minority.

In all fairness, one of the too-many-men-on-the-ice calls typically isn't called 95% of the time. Regardless, San Jose made some boneheaded penalties and it cost them the game.

First, I didn't see the game ....
However, like Jim said, MOST "2 many man " calls don't get called ....
UNLESS, it was DIRECTLY involved in the play, as in the guy that just came on, gained a large advantage and played the puck first.
Usually if he doesn't play the puck first it's never called.

Bruins win, 3-1.

What a game!! What a series!!

Bruins one win away from the Stanley Cup Finals!!!

Here's a potentially good omen for the Bruins- in the post-lockout NHL, only one conference final has gone seven games (2006, when- sadly- my Sabres lost to the Hurricanes).

Tuesday's Playoff Schedule

San Jose at Vancouver- 9:00pm ET (Versus)- Canucks lead series 3-1

All tied up halfway through this one. They where did everyone go? Not a lot of SJ or VAN fans I guess...

I was watching the game, then I was channel surfing Fox News,CNN,& the Weather Channel because of all the bad weather going on right now(They had to evacuate Rangers Ballpark in the middle of a game between the Rangers & White Sox in Arlington,TX because of a Tornado Warning),now I'm back watching.I'll go back to channel surfing the next intermission period.

Patty needed 4 steps to bury an empty net goal to make it 3-1, he dumped it into the canucks zone to go for a change. No killer instinct=playoff failure. I know we're 5-0 in OT but the at can't go on forever.

Are you a Season Ticket Holder?

Did I miss anything when I was gone?
