2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Why are they waiting till the other conference gets done ?
What would the West side have to do with it ?

Btw, expect at least the first half of the game in the next series to be rusty, 8 days while it';s great to heal, killed the Wings in the first game of this series.

The NHL will not start a Conference Final until the other one is set. I'm assuming it's so they can set a TV schedule with NBC/Versus.

Heard on the Radio today, that if both West semi's end in 6 than they will start Thursday, if 1 of them go 7 than it will be Saturday.

Well, then lets hope they don't start till Saturday :D

These series just keep getting tougher in the Western conference.
San Jose and then probably Vancouver then the Eastern top team ....

I turned it off when it was 3-1 Sharks...........couldn't believe it when I saw the score!!

You Bruins/Lightning fans have to be getting a little antsy. Regardless, it should be a great series.

Hey, where are the Lightning fans?

Not how it sounded in your previous quote ....

I told you he was playing very well earlier ...

I will give you Howard has come to compete and perhaps I spoke too soon about Detroit needing a goalie. However lets put it this way. Perhaps if San Jose or Detroit, hadn't been so cheap in funding their goalies this year, this series might have been over by now. After all Nabokov was available last off season for both of these teams, and both went on the cheap with Detroit sticking with a rookie in Howard and San Jose with Niemi. At this point I hope Detroit does make the huge comeback and sticks it to the Sharks and their Teflon General Manager and their high price no show during the playoff stars.

The Stanley Cup playoffs have been nothing short of amazing this season...it's like they watched how incredible March Madness was, and said 'you ain't seen nothing yet!'

The buildings are ROCKING!!!

Howard is not on the Cheap, yes, he's not making the money others have and it does surprise me some that the Wings did not go out and get a Big Name Goalie as they have been known to do.... Vernon, Hasek ...
However, I think it's Howards time, he's been in the system for a LONG time now and finally getting his shot.
He was here (in the system) when Hasek and Ozzie was winning cups.

I ALWAYS enjoy the NHL Playoffs more than the MM, though MM is very good, when you play the grueling schedule that the NHL does in the playoffs, theres NOTHING like it.

Howard's cap hit for this year was 880,000 and 2.25 million for each of the next two years. That definitely puts him on the cheap side for National Hockey League Starting goalies.

Tuesday's Playoff Schedule

San Jose at Detroit- 8:00pm ET (Versus)- Sharks lead series 3-2

Are you a Season Ticket Holder?

Did I miss anything when I was gone?
