2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

On the other hand, the chances Bosh has another monster game like he did last night are against the Heat.
agreed. but we don't need him to have a monster game. 20 pts and more rebs. is all we need from him. not showing up is what we don't need

I don't see it that way because he did not do anything out of the norm. He got the ball where he wanted, rarely if anything, he forced his game and it was able to exploit all the attention Lebron and Wade were getting. That forced the Bulls out of the comfort zone of rotating team defense, forcing the Bulls one-on-one defense with Bosh. He was to faster for an injured Boozer and seeing he is more experienced player than Noah, he used Noah's aggressiveness against him. Every time he beat Noah, you saw Noah looking around with his face saying "where was the help" or "there supposed to be someone there" look. I don't see the 30 and 10 game had last night, but I do see a 22-24 and 10 average being very possible more than unlikely.

Yep. That's all we need from him. Especially those rebs.

I think it's quite ironic that Salsa kept saying how the Bulls were a "one man team" and reminded him of the LeBron era Cavs. What I saw was an all out team effort. The Bulls played a well balanced game. Every guy on the team, including the bench contributed. The Heat? Not so much. The Super Friends scored all but 19 Heat points. How long can this continue? 3 guys can't win a championship by themselves, can they? If they do, it's not a good thing for the NBA. At all. It sends a terrible message.

What you saw last night was on the surface, and incredible team effort by the Bulls, NO DOUBT. Beneath that, it was an lack of boxing out by the Heat. 30-12 2nd chance points. THERE is you game right there. THAT is why you had alot of open threes by the Bulls. 2 guys rebounding for the Heat while the Bulls had 3 and sometimes 4. That gives you an obvious advantage.

Your last statement is exactly why there is so much anti-Heat sentiment by fans and especially the media. IF the Heat were to win the championship in the 1st year together, it would completely and totally make every single BASKETBALL purist...forget NBA, every single level of basketball as a whole will the question whether if the game really is about team concept or individual talent. Also, this team, other than their big 3, was sort of put together on the fly, last minute. Pat Riley will get the players to better fit the big three as the years go along. Next year, the court chemistry between the three WILL be better...as well as the cast around them. And everyone knows it....

Last night the Bulls looked like the Mike Brown coached Cavs....an outstanding TEAM with mega-superstar that values defense above offense. I don't agree at all with the recent talk of the LeQuit era Cavs being a one-man team.....its revisionist history and not at all true IMO.

Meh, this is now the NBA has been operating for a long time...stars surrounded by role players. The tried and true formula.

Kobe and Gasol
Pierce, Garnett and Allen
Ginobli, Duncan and Parker
Wade and Shaq
Kobe and Shaq
Jordan and Pippen
Olajuwon and Drexler

Goes all the way back to West, Baylor and Chamberlain, and beyond that I would imagine.

It goes on and on. More often than not 2-3 stars, surrounded by adequate role players that bring you over the hump. Miami is not re-inventing the wheel here.

Unfortunately,I missed the Bulls-Heat game because I was watching the Canucks-Sharks hockey game, but I'll try to watch the next game so that I can keep yelling out loud "Deng(as in Dang)" every time Luol scores. I get the feeling they were saying "Dang",oops I mean,"Deng" a lot last night.

Kobe and Gasol - trade
Pierce, Garnett and Allen - trades
Ginobli, Duncan and Parker - draft
Wade and Shaq - trade/draft
Kobe and Shaq - trade/free agency
Jordan and Pippen - draft
Olajuwon and Drexler - draft

Goes all the way back to West, Baylor and Chamberlain, and beyond that I would imagine.

the difference is that through the means of trading and drafting, these other teams have been much more complete. that is why all of those teams had MUCH more talent than the Heat do aside from their big three. Hell, Sasha Vujacic made a bigger contribution in the 08 playoffs than anyone on the Heat bench/starting lineup has done this postseason outside of the big three.

And Salsa, your matchups have you underrating the Bulls severely. Deng and Brewer are GREAT perimeter defenders with very long arms. Deng got robbed of the 1st NBA All-Defensive team, and is proving his worth.

So you are say, with your statement above that Deng is actually better the James? According to my match-ups, it's Deng vs James. And as far as Brewer is concerned, Brewer did a great job....and I have under estimated but then again, I will wait till the series is over before I make an assessment about a series that is only 1 game old.

Deng is a better defender than LeBron could ever hope to be

Wow....I want some of what you are drinking. Ask Pierce in the previous series how "bad" his defense was... Especially when Lebron was named on this years NBA all defensive team... 1st team.

Pierce in the series:
Game 1 - 43%
Game 2 - 46%
Game 3 - 45%
Game 4 - 50%
Game 5 - 42%
(I rounded these numbers)
Pierce is 44.8% for his career shooting. He shot a rounded average of 45.2% in the series. Yeah, terrific defense by LeBron, holding a guy to his normal percentage. There is no doubt that LeBron is going to score on Deng, but Deng is good at slowing down his drives to the basket and forcing him to take jump shots. Next thing you know, you're going to come up with some more of your delusional beliefs and say LeBron is a great jump shooter. And yes, I know that LeBron made the all defensive team, something he didn't deserve over Luol Deng.

BY THE WAAAAAAAAAAY, last night, LeBron shot 33.3%.

So you are say that every NBA coach has been wrong for the last 3 years in a row(all defensive teams are voted BY THE COACHES)? From YOUR professional observations, Lebron is NOT a good defender and does not deserve to be on the ADT? Please end this conversation now, you are making yourself foolish.:facepalm

Tuesday's Playoff Schedule

NBA Draft Lottery- 8:30pm ET (ESPN)

being able to make blocks from behind doesn't make you a good defender. just because the coaches vote doesn't make it correct. Kobe shouldn't be on the all defensive team this year, but Tony Allen should be

Ok....you WIN. You KNOW more and watch MORE NBA than every coach in the entire NBA. I want to move on beyond the ridiculous.
