2009 NBA Playoffs

Numbers don't lie. This is not my opinion. It's a fact.

THAT is very true....but numbers aren't everything either..YOU have said that many times.

I mean IF numbers don't LIE ....it's fact. Then according to YOUR LOGIC, Dwayne Wade was a BETTER player than Lebron.....

..remember...."numbers don't lie...it's fact...."

Ok, besides "numbers", how else can you explain to the reading audience how you came up with the conclusion that Reddick is the best shooter in the universe? As I've pointed out, he's not even the best shooter on his own team!

I mean, we're talking "shooter", not "MVP". A shooter, shoots the ball. No other intangibles are considered. I'd think percentages are a good starting reference, no?

Can you imagine if the Cavs ever played a meaninful game against Salsa's Heat? My heavens. He's got me all worked up and the Magic isn't even his team!

No....See the difference between you and me is....I do not look at my team with blinders. You do....more than anyone else on this site. You are the ONLY person that does not do that when it comes to your teams....the only one.

I know of no other bigger BOSTON team fan than Bill ...but he is logical in his assessments when it comes to his teams. He ROOTS with his heart....but THINKS with his brain.

...you root AND think with your heart.....;)

Um, actually I can be objective (check the NFL and MLB threads). I just see fit that I agree with the Majority of America that the Cavs are the best team in the East and possibly the best in the country this year.

MVP award, Coach of the Year Award, Best Record in the League. Hmmm. Who's got the blinders on? It appears that I have a logical reason to be biased towards the Cavs.

Am I missing something?

Why is Orlando all of a sudden a sexy pick????

They struggled against a Sixers team that limped into the playoffs, and struggled even more against a Celtics team that was ravaged by injuries (I'm in NO WAY making that an excuse, the Magic are the better team and the better team won).

OTOH, you have the Cavs who have hardly broken a sweat in their two series.

Okay, maybe the Magic win a few of the individual matchups, but the best player on the floor (by a widdddddddddddddde margin) is LeBron. And BTW, LeBron's supporting cast isn't exactly chopped liver.

Cavs in 5

I can't wait till Anders sees this.
Do I have to weigh in on this? :D Of course Redick sucks. He's a one trick pony and now that he's shooting blanks he's a no trick pony. He was at any given time the WORST defender on the court for Orlando. If Ray Allen hadn't gone stone cold at the end of the series things could have been different. Allen got open any time he wanted when Redick was guarding him.

HIM??!! Please....Duke can go undefeated against UNC and he STILL would say they suck. His opinions that include ANYTHING either Duke or UNC are taken with a grain of salt because he will think logically because of his love for UNC and hatred toward "Dook".....

Hmmm....sometimes similar to people hear in this thread.....;)
I just call them like I see them. :D

Yes....we are talking shooter...not MVP....seeing that you would HAVE to admit that Wade WAS better than Lebron....if we went by YOUR standards that "numbers don't lie...". Again, that was my opinion and in the series, either Reddick or Lee or even the BIGGER Pietrus will out play West because I think that is who they will match up against.

By the way, I am STILL waiting for this so-called quote from Van Gundy where he supposedly told the media he was NOT suppose to shoot.

Ok, here goes my "homer pick"........

Cavs in 6.

OH MY!!! Did the "homer" just pick his team to win in an extended series?!

Take that for being a "homer", Salsa boy. I'm actually giving the Magic a lot of credit. If I was a "true homer", I would've taken the Cavs in a sweep. :p

Please....if they had NO LEBRON you would STILL pick them to win.;)

Wait...I'll do it better....roles reversed....Mgic with the best record and rolled threw the playoffs.....would YOU pick Orlando? Yeah....I though so....

What's with these hypotheticals? Why should I have to make an excuse for picking Cleveland just because they also happen to be my hometown team?

It's not my fault they might be the better team. They have the body of work and the best player in the world to prove it. To all the doubters, including yourself, I guess we still have a ways to go to prove it to you and that's fine with me.

After all, that's why they play the games. May the best team win.
