You'll be getting an 8-9 survivor in the second round (of course, it can't be an ACC team).
Those games are no joke. 1 seeds have lost in the 2nd round before, so we'll need Lawson by then.
I'm not Anders, but I think so.
Memphis will probably be playing in the Midwest Region in Indy (no way do they put Memphis in their own arena/region- that would be too much of a homecourt advantage), I see Pittsburgh going out West, and the last #1 seed- whoever that is- goes to Beantown.
I may be wrong, but I don't think Memphis is in the running for a #1 seed.
If Louisville wins tomorrow, they get a #1 and go to the Glendale region, UNC goes to Memphis, Pitt goes to Indy, and either UConn or Michigan St. (if they win the Big 10) goes to Boston.
If UConn gets a #1 seed, they better hope they go out West.
UConn's only two titles- and two Final Four appearances- came as coming from the West Region.
UConn has NEVER won an Elite Eight game outside of the West (Duke in 1990, UNC in 1998, Maryland in 2002, George Mason in 2006)
You have to figure that UConn would draw big in Boston. It's probably a 2.5- 3 hour drive from Storrs to Boston.
That is true, but you have to admit- it's a freaky coincidence that UConn can't seal the deal when not in the West.
Ask Hancox about it- he'll take you UConn fares better when playing in the West.
Memphis won't likely be a 1 seed and they can't play in the South region anyway. No one is allowed to play on their home court, unless you're Villanova and you pretend that the Wachovia Center isn't your homecourt. 
Anyway, I have no idea where Carolina will go. I figure the west will be a punishment site since there's no great teams from out west. Carolina will be better than the 4th best 1 seed so that won't be their problem. The south is as good as any place IMO. UConn will have an advantage if they play in Boston and Louisville will be close to Indianapolis if they get put there. Memphis seems as neutral as you can get.

I saw it, but that's a coincedence. If UConn is in Boston they will make it uncomfortable on anyone going in there.
UNC has a history of faring well in tournaments when they are seeded in the East or Southeast.
2005 and 1997- came out of the East (Syracuse)
2000 (still amazed that team got that far)- came out of the Southeast (Tennessee)
1998- came out of the East (Greensboro)
1995- came out of the Southeast (Birmingham)
1991 and 1993- East Rutherford
Better hope UNC goes to Beantown or Memphis.

Danny going stone cold was too much to over come I guess, and suddenly Ellington has the touch of Shaq at the free throw line. This was a winnable game. You and me both. We should have won this game even without Lawson. Too many missed FTs, Danny Green going 1-12 (3-25 in the tournament
) and on the last two possessions we should've called timeouts. We looked out of sync on both of them but Roy didn't call a timeout either time.
What gets me is that Roy often gets criticized, not by me, for hoarding his timeouts so he can save them for then end. Today he had all his timeouts and only called one.
