So I was trying to be clever with a broken feed issue, but it didn't work, I'm curious as to why not.
Setup is multiple receivers connected through an Eagle Aspen multi-switch connected to a legacy LNB, was working fine.
Somehow 1 of the RG6 broke, corroded, I don't know what, whatever happened that feed is dead (checked with a good, both ports etc. it is the cable).
So, being lazy I pointed a separate dish at 119 and fed it into the multi-switch for the other polarity, thinking that dish 1 would provide L and dish 2 would provide R polarity.
Doesn't work!
The new dish works for R polarity but the L polarity only comes in when dish 2 is disconnected!
So now I have run a temporary above ground cable to dish 1 and all is well.
Anybody any ideas or theories on why this didn't work?
Cheers!
