2 satellites,1cable,2receivers

Looking for help.
I have 2 satellites, one german and the other english. German sat is working and is wired to matrix sat box the roof. From the matrix box the cables run to each room(4) and this is ok. The english sat is new and I need it only in the livingroom. i would like to run the german and english sat on 1 cable to the living room but need to use 2 receivers. I can run the english with no problems if I go up in the roof and unplug the german and plug in english for the livingroom. I would rather run them off 1 cable if I could and do any changing of the cables downstairs with a switch or something. Thanks

Your question is a little confusing.
Do you have two receivers in the living room?
If not, then it's possible that a 22khz switch will solve the problem.
I'd suggest you take a look at our Switches Simplified FAQ for some background reading.
I'm sure there's a simple solution.

As an alternative, you might need a dual output LNB on the English satellite, followed by a multiswitch, then a 22khz switch.
But that would be more likely if you really do have two receivers in the living room.

Depending on the situation, a 4x8 multiswitch might be the simple answer...

Or, as a last resort, this might be solved with another coax run into the living room.

Tell us more about the wiring for the German side, and we'll give ya some more accurate advice.

I have the german receiver nokia dbox and the english receiver skydigibox in the livingroom but one cable. each satellite has its own cable from the lnb with the cable running to matrix box but only one can be plugged in at a time. So each time I want to watch english the german must be unplugged at the matrix box and the english plugged in. I thought a diseqc would help at the matrix box so I would not have to go in the roof each plug or unplug?
