Hi

My first question is regarding my number one priority for recording. This show can occasionally be run several times per day. Most days it is on twice or perhaps three times. When I don't want those episodes to record I will tell the DVR to skip them. If I am traveling for work I will do this for several days in advance. But after the daily update, they are back, wanting to be recorded. How do I stop this behavior? The number one priority is not the only timer that this happens for either. It may be all of them but this is the one I noticed except for some sports timers. How do I stop this behavior?

Second question: my wife uses a Tivo on her TV with a single channel receiver. You cannot turn off the inactivity timer. You can set it to be off. But it will not actually turn off. I want it on all the time because when the Tivo asks it to change channels for a recording (usually the next day after the last activity) it will record that message on the black screen that says something about "use select to turn on your receiver". It ignores the Tivo channel change request. Is there a work around for this?

Thanks in advance.

When you set the timer for that show, are you choosing "New Only " on the show's first air time? If so, then Tribune is flagging all of that days show as new, and nothing you can really do about it.

As for the receiver, it will always go into standby (it never goes "off") after nightly updates/reboot. Set a manual, daily auto tune timer shortly after your scheduled update time to wake it up.

Too heck! With those Premium Channels

Question for installers.
