2 hoppers no joeys

I'm already thinking about getting another hopper and getting rid of my super Joey. With a 2 hopper setup how does it work if one hopper gets full can you still record on it and it automatically sends the recordings to the other hopper ?

If you can fill an entire Hopper with shows then you really need to take some vacation time from work and start WATCHING TV instead of just recording it! <sarcasm>

But that's what an external hard drive is good for. Move the things you want to keep onto it and keep the Hopper for shows you are planning to watch and delete. Since you can access any Hopper's recordings from any device then I'm sure Dish's logic is record your shows, watch, then delete to keep space free and use the EHD for archiving. Instead of trying to use Hoppers as other devices to move content to/from.

EHD good idea. And yeah I may have a problem recording too much

The tech that did my install said that dish sells an EHD anyone ever bought one of these ? Any good ?
