2 Hooper 3 Upgrade Question

I have a customer that has a Hooper 3 and Joey. He primarily watches the H3 and his wife the Joey. He was complaining about no PIP on the Joey and asked why he can't have 2 Hopper 3's, to which I told him, he can and told him the details on buying one, etc.

I also referred him here, so he'll probably read this lol.

Anyway, he did buy a 2nd Hooper 3 (From Amazon) and asked me the best way to get it installed. My first reaction was to tell him to call dish to avoid having to buy the 42 Switch and run a 2nd line from the dish, but now I'm wondering, is that the best way?? Will they give him a hard time?

That seems to be the way you get anything done with DISH. Keep calling till you get the answer you want or call the loyalty department and threaten to cancel and suddenly they will give you the answer you want.

Doesn't the 4k Jo do PIP as well??? (NOT the 4-screen version I know) If so, that would seem to make more sense....

The 4K Joey does not do PIP. That was a feature that never happened...

I would say that 4K Joey PIP got benched, just like Wally PIP.
