1990's Satellite Chart Help

Now I'd like a satellite chart (from the Orbit Magazine, Satellite TV week and 4DTV) of the regular Ku Band satellite including transponders from 1998. (a month after the G4 communications orbit failure)
SBS-4 (used for NBC affiliate/network feeds)

GE-1 (used for NBC feeds)
GE-2 (used for Primestar satellite services)
GE-3
SN3-R (used for local affiliates, sports backhauls)

Actually it would be great if you could keep your posts about this subject in one thread. I broke this off into a new thread, now let's keep them all here.
Also, many have asked what is going on here? Is this guy just spamming and laughing at us?
So please take a moment and elaborate on why you need all of this information. Are you writing a history book on satellite TV? If so that is fine and I am all for history.
You need to give a little more info about your project and there are plenty of us here that would be willing to help. However, keep doing like you are and you are just getting put on ignore lists.....

This is incorrect, the two Canadian services were ExpressVu (now Bell TV) and StarChoice (now Shaw Direct).

Keith Brannen thanks for the correction! KE4EST I'm trying to find information on the Ku Band Satellite channels (4DTV) off the satellite charts. I'm only doing this for research, historical & archival purposes. (not writing a book for satellite TV or all of that)

But first before we get to the satellite chart, we'd have to evaluate all the channels on the Ku feeds first (PAS-1, PAS-2, PAS-3, SBS-4 (used for NBC affiliate/network feeds), SBS-5, SBS-6, GE-1 (used for NBC feeds), GE-2 (used for Primestar satellite services), GE-3 (used for PBS feeds), SN-3R (used primarily for local affiliates, Florida news feeds & sports feeds), SN4, T4 (used for ABC feeds & affiliate feeds as well), T5 (used for Fox feeds and SNG feeds before being occupied by Echostar's Sky Vista DBS service), G3R, G7 (used for TCI feeds), G8I, Satcom K2 (also used for NBC feeds), G-Star 4 (also used ABC, CBS feeds, SNG and Chris-Craft United TV (UPN) news feeds), Anik E1 (also used by Canadian service ExpressVu), Anik E2 etc...).

+satjay Well there's an Orbit Magazine Edition I'd want to buy, although they're unavailable (June 1998 and August 1997). and I'd still need to know what feeds/channels were on the Ku birds at the time (PAS-1, PAS-2, PAS-3, SBS-4 (used for NBC affiliate/network feeds), SBS-5, SBS-6, GE-1 (used for NBC feeds), GE-2 (used for Primestar's satellite services), GE-3 (used for PBS feeds), SN-3R (used primarily for local affiliates and sports backhauls), SN4 etc...).

I don't see any Ku Band channels/feeds or schedule there.

You are probably right, because I don't think they exist.

I have NEVER seen a schedule for KU channels, and especially not for KU feeds. That's because they never existed. As we've said before, home satellite was C-band 100% until after the year 2000. Except for the very small numbers of people that went with Primestar, Alphastar, DirecTv, and Dish Network. In which case they came with their own EPG guide channel. Everything else on KU TO THIS DAY, is pretty much found "catch as catch can" by one of us doing blind-scans at random, and getting lucky with timing.

You really should try contacting the companies/stations you want the info on. It's the only way you are ever likely to get it.

(Channel One News for schools & colleges, was one of the channels on the Ku feeds, as well as sports backhauls, ENG & SNG news gathering feeds, educational networks, regional PBS stations, news feeds etc...)

The CW - Wikipedia

The CW is what the combined WB and UPN morphed into.

You could also do an internet search on the satellite names themselves, and when you find the owner, try contacting them.

What I was actually trying to mention was the G-Star 3 satellite (G-Star 2 went out of service in August '97), although it was de-orbited, it didn't go out of service until Sept. 1998 (2 months from June '98). what was on G-Star 3 Ku before it went out of service?

this is some valuable information on the satellite, but what were the channels on G-Star 3 (before it went out of service in Sept. 1998) and G-Star 4? (used primarily for event backhauls and ABC SNG feeds), the above information is for the satellites being used on standard Ku Band at the time (DBS 1/2/3 was for DirecTV/USSB, and Echostar 1/2 was for Dish Network).

Pardon me for reviving this thread, but as far as I know Galaxy 8I (X8) compromised mainly of channels from DirecTV Latin America, Galaxy 7 Ku (X7) compromised of the TCI Hits (Headend in the Sky) feeds which consisted of Starz!/Encore movie channels (Starz! 2. Starz! 3, Movie Plex, WAM! West/East, Love Stories, Westerns, Mystery, True Stories, Action, Encore East/West), CBS Eye on People, Ovation: The Arts Network, Fox Sports World, Cartoon Network, Bloomberg TV, The Box Music Network (an MTV alternative, along with MuchMusic USA), History Channel, Sci-Fi Channel, Independent Film Channel (IFC) and several others. But If you wanted to watch Nickelodeon programming (The Secret World of Alex Mack, The Journey of Allen Strange, KaBlam!, Hey Arnold!, All That, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, The Angry Beavers, Figure It Out, Kenan & Kel, Big Help, Nick in the Afternoon, Nick Specials etc...) you needed a C-Band satellite dish (East/West feeds), or you could tune to Primestar on "W7" (GE-2 Ku) which might not be available on 4DTV, but they had a widely array of channels, you needed a DigiCipher II equipment box in order to view it.
