1296 Mhz 12.5' Portable Moonbounce EME Dish Antenna | eBay

This is so temping

1296 Mhz, 12.5 ft, trailer mounted dish antenna. Folds into a clamshell for transporting. This is the antenna that provided North Dakota to W5LUA for 1296 Mhz WAS #1. Comes with 7/8" heliax for transmit and 1/2" heliax for receive, feedhorn and lots of misc goodies. Echoes are quite good with 150 watts. Without any modification, it elevates to 60 degrees and down to 18 degrees. I'll provide motors and control box which I never incorporated into the setup. I used the armstrong method for azimuth and the winch for elevation. Focal point is 52". We'll talk about delivery. I can drive it to Minneapolis, Sioux Falls or Winnipeg which is about 250 miles from Fargo. Anything beyond that is negotiable. Two of these were made by the Digi-Key folks in Thief River Falls, Mn. The location of the other one is inknown.

Thanks IKKI for the info, I just sent a notice to all the members of my radio club to see if they would have an interest. If I had a place to store it I would consider it.

That is quite the unit... I know both fellows in the E-Bay picture, they have pioneered much activity on the upper UHF and microwave bands.
Had to take down my antenna array due to tower issues but hope to have it up again soon, miss those ragchews!

Wow! Not one single bid! I have never operated above 900MHz. I hope to start doing 2 meter EME soon. I just picked up a set of 18 element beams. I won't be able to get em up before winter, but next spring, I hope to finally make an EME contact.

Don finally gets a win 7 computer. Not all it was cracked up to be!
