Perhaps this has been discussed and I just missed it, but with the new 828 Firmware for my Dish 6000 I now get a 119 and a 119K satellite in the signal screen. The 119K is located in the sequence between 148 and 61.5.

Obviously, there is no signal strength on 119K but 119 is clearly the one we have used for years.

Did I miss a thread or an announcement somewhere????

The 119K is for the 118.7 W Ku-FSS slot that Dish will be leasing from TeleSat. Dish, TeleSat and SES Americom, the owner of the AMC-16 satellite have applied to the FCC to temporarily move AMC-16 to 118.7 W from 85 W. TeleSat was to launch the Anik F3 satellite to 118.7 W early in 2006 but that has been delayed until at least the 3rd quarter of 2006.

So after all this, the Dish 1000 will not pick up the new 119k either.....how many times can you change a dish out?

I believe folks have reported using a Superdish to get 110, 119 and 129 so by just replacing the 119 LNB with a special DBS/Ku band LNB, one should be able to get 110, 118.7, 119 and 129 or instead of 118.7 one could get 121.

Need some advice

What's the best kind of portable dish setup?
