119 b problem please help

Please help!

I have just had my dish moved about 2 blocks to my new apartment in downtown Chicago.

I used to get high signals on all satellites.

Now I just get 110 and 101. I do not get anything on 119.

In Chicago our locals are not on 119 so I really only lose HD Net, HBO HD and CBS W HD.

The wierd thing is that the installer gets a high signal on his signal meter from my dish for 119. When I do auto detect it detects its a tripple LNB dish. However it says the 119 b satellite failed. When I check the TV it shows no signal. He even brought a new receiver and LNB so its not a problem with that.

He is very confused and so am I as to why this wont work despite his signal.


Questions:
1. Any way I could get 119 b?
2. Will my locals stay on 101?
3. Will I still be able to get the MLB EI and NFL and College Game Plan ? Or are there plans on moving that to 119?

I need more details about your set up. Are you using a multiswitch, diplexers?, etc.

I have the tripple LMB dish (new as of Feb 04').

It has the built in multi switch with 4 outputs. I am only uing 2 of them. The dish guy gets high signals on all atellites. I really want to get this to work. I do live in a downtown area.

Make sure nothing is blocking your view of 119, should be on the right side of the LNB if you are looking at the LNBs from the back of the dish.

There are buildings all over the place. How am I getting the 110 and 101 though?? Are they planning on moving 110 and 101? I mean am I at least going to keep these channels. I don't see why the installer gets a signal for the 119 however.

People can get 101 and 110 and not 119 if something is blocking 119.

Will I at least keep what I have or are they moving the 110 and 101? Will I at leat always get NFL SD and MLB EI in Standard Def.? I wil get a few HD NFL game on 110 .


Also my locals are on 101 bc I am in Chicago thankfully.

A lot of people seem to have problems with 119.


What can I do?

The installer shows high signals on all 3 satellites. However I only get 110 and 101 on my receivers. 0% on 119
