118.7 -- add a dish?

Right now I have a dish setup with a Dish 500 and a Dishplayer 625 receiver. I'm thinking about subscribing to the German Channel ProSiebenSat.1 welt, which is on 118.7.

The question is, hardware-wise, what's the easiest and cheapest way to do this? I saw a couple of dishes on e-bay (30" hotdish) for about a hundred bucks. Is it possible to just buy one of these and put it up on the roof next to the dish 500, then bring in the coax and integrate it with my existing setup? I would guess I'd have to run both feeds through some sort of switch to do so, but I'm not overly familiar with the new dish hardware.

Any advice or info you could provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Dishnetwork might give it to you for free if you contact them via the ceo's email. I think it's ceo@echostar.com, or somebody can chime in with the correct address if the one I provided is wrong. I contacted them politely last year and they gave me the 500+ and installed it free of charge.

Thanks -- is that all I'd need? Just swap out the 500+ for the 500?

well, you are going to need a satelitte switch also, probably a DP 34, and a 2nd line run from that to your receiver.

why not call Dish Network and ask what the total cost to add that channel to your programming will be?

Subscribing to that channel will force a Dish upgrade to the 500+ which will include the 500+ Dish, The required switch, the new wiring, and the technician to install and warranty it.
