Echostar finally won one at the FCC. Directv, Pegasus and Intelsat had ganged up and were going to trade licenses for the new satellite slots.

There will be three satellite licenses at 107W. Pegasus and Directv were going to trade slots and Pegasus would end up with 2/3 's of the transponders and one satellite (lower cost operation).

Echostar cried foul and FCC agreed.

Sort of - it's out of my backyard side (110/119/129) , it will not harm us, but make some headache for DTV while Dish will experimenting with the BSS sat.
