i have a dish 500 and wish to replace it with a 1000.2. as a person with limited mounting skills, is the process as simple as replacing the reflector and lnb? does the hardware line up? or do i need to replace the whole mount and re-aim the dish? any assistance is greatly appreciated - thanks!

You will be garbing one more satellite (129) which is approx another 10 degrees to the west and a few degrees lower in the sky.
That means you will need more then 30 degrees of open sky now as apposed to the current dish 500 needing only 20 or so.
Your current dish is pointing at the 110,119 ,so the new direction will be close but will probably need to be pointed slightly to the west.
Make sure the current mast is plum and sturdy if you reuse it.
