Even though we cut the cord several years ago, my wife's parents still have Dish Network at their house, and the service is in our name since we manage those kinds of things for them since English is not their first language. Anyway, I logged into their account today and here's how it breaks down:
Monthly Services $109.99
America's Top 200 $87.99
Local Channels $12.00
HD 200 $10.00
Equipment $31.00
Loyal Cust Hopper (reg $15) $12.00
Loyal Cust Hopper DVR(reg $15) $12.00
Joey Receiver $7.00
Add-Ons $49.98
Portuguese: Brazil Clube $29.99
Latino Bonus Pack $10.00
DISH Protect Silver $9.99
Monthly Total $191.02
Monthly Services $109.99
Equipment $31.00
Add-Ons $49.98
FCC Regulatory Fee $0.05
So I guess everything makes sense on there, except for on Dish's page for America's Top 200 it says the package is $84.99/month (versus the $87.99 my in-laws are paying) and it includes "Free HD for life". So what is the $10 "HD 200" fee for? I tried to do a search, but the only reference I found to "HD 200" is from something like 10 years ago.
They've had their service for many years. Is this extra HD charge a holdover that I should call and complain about, or is that normal?
Thanks!
