I just had a 625/322 4 room system put in over the weekend. We love it but just noticed a problem. When I am in 1 room watching TV2 on the 322 box and my wife is watching TV2 on the 625 box when one of us changes the channel it does it on both TV's. Is there a way to change the frequency on one of the remotes?

Press the Sysinfo button on the front of either receiver. Note what address is shown for the TV2 remote. Now grab that TV2 remote. Hold the SAT button down till all the lights come on. Press the numeric keys on the remote for some random number and hit the # button. The SAT light should blink 3 times. You have just changed the address of the remote.

Now, while the sysinfo is on the screen, press the Record button on the remote. The TV2 remote address should change to whatever you just programmed the remote to be.

I was beaten again! LOL

Welcome to Sat guys! This is what you need to do... you need to go to the 322 and unplug the antena from the back of the reciver... then go to the 625 and go to the system info menu (press menu 6-1-3 on your remote). from there you want to take the tv 2 remote for the 625 and infront of the tv on the 625 that has the system info menu on it press and hold the sat button untill it flashes.. then press 09 or any other number if its remote address nine allready, then the Pound button. after that the remote should flash three times.. then press the record button. What this does is it changes the remote adress because the 322 and the 625 are on the same frequancies thus controlling eatch other. Once you have that compleated all you need to do is re connect the antenna back on the 322 and you should be all set.

note the number has to be between 1 and 16 so for remote adress 3 its 03 for remote address 14 is 14... and you want to make sure that the ant flag is off on the 322 becase when you change the freqs it will change the freaks on the 322 also if that flag is on. and not dissconnected.

I think it will only change a particular receiver if it is on the sysinfo screen at the time. So, a quick way to screw up things in a multi-receiver household would be to run around and push the sysinfo button on every receiver and then hit the record button...

Thanks guys. I figured there was a pretty simple solution. I made the change using the 322 and didn't unhook anything on the 625...wife is asleep. I tested everything and it all works as it should. Still trying to get used to all of the features and menus. After being with Charter Cable since they came to town, I feel like I have jumped from 1985 to 2005 in one day. DVR is the best thing since sliced bread. I am very pleased with Dish so far.

goaliebob should listen to Pepper. :)

A receiver will NOT listen to the address change command (record button) except when the SysInfo screen is displayed.

My standard procedure is to double-tap "Menu" on the target boxes TV1 remote, then set the address on that boxes TV2 remote. No problems. :)

I normally start with 8 for an 811, 6 for a 625, and 3 for a 322. Seems to work. I'm guessing that other installers in my neighborhood are just using addresses 1 & 2.

Oh - and someone should slap the installer upside the head (just once) for forgetting to set the remotes in the first place. ;)
