It is interesting that they moved programming from 72.7 to 61.5 to make space for 77 programming on 72.7 verses just putting the 77 content on 61.5.

They have to balance the power distribution which is why they are doing all this shuffling.

I am impressed how well they recovered from this one in such a short time. Still not finished but a good recovery none the less.

9526 (ID) is available in Puerto Rico (not redout). We just gained an HD channel out of the 77 havoc. It is a shame all those redout (supposedely not subscribed to) out there on the 94xx-95xx range. Also the Epix2 (ch 296) is redout. I have AEP+latinos. At least I think this will delay the migration of HD premiums from 61.5 to 72.7.

DISH has a few unused transponders at 61.5 which worked out good in this case.

I wonder if this situation will put the damper on any future HD additions for a while? I don't know that any were planned, but I wonder if E8 going haywire has stopped any futher additions? Maybe they can find a spare in Echostar's junk yard somewhere to move over to 77 to take over.
