    To many Receivers?

Thanks for the clarification guys. I think I'm going to use TV2 on the one of my 622's to power the TV in the play room. Kids mostly watch DVD's in there anyway. I'll get a stand alone Vip 211 for the guest room which will replace one of my older SD receivers.

    To many Receivers?

I've bought all my receivers to date and will buy this one as well. I didn't know if there would be trouble with bandwidth. I'm guessing that's why they keep the second tuner SD only. Sorry, I know I'm not as technically knowledgeable on this stuff as some of you all. Thanks, Keith

    To many Receivers?

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a VIP 222 for the guest bedroom, plan on using the second tuner in the kids play room (currently have old standard def. receiver in there). I also have two Vip 622's and one old Standard Def receiver I use in the kids room. I'm using a DPP 44 switch...

    Broadband Connection Problem

I'm out as well. Both 622 receivers. DHCP is working fine and assigning all the appropriate info to the receivers. Voip hooked to the same router is working just fine as well.

Toshiba HD- A20 error code 408bc504

I bought two A2's during the wally world sale. I've tried watching 4 HD-DVD's, only one played all the way through successfully. Both have the latest updates. One HD-DVD was brand new and still had issues. Sound like some serious QA issues with HD-DVD production or in the players themselves...

    Wah wah. DISH is mean!!!!

Yes, I have two 622's, I have no phone service to my house. I received a letter stating I'd get charged $5 per receiver if I didn't hook them up to a phone line. The letter did not mention anything about the $5 charge being for the use of the 2nd tuner. It basically said I'd miss out on PPV...

    Wah wah. DISH is mean!!!!

Sorry this is a BS charge, you DO NOT need a line hooked up to your receiver. Just got off the phone with Dish to get the charge removed, which the did for a year.

    My phone line story

You do not need the phone line, however on newer receivers, Dish in their infinite wisdom to eek out every $ has chosen to charge you $5 per receiver that is not hooked up. You can have the charge removed, however, prepare for your frustration level to be increase slightly with you initially...

    Why is this so hard?

I'm trying to upgrad to HD, currently have a Dish 500 system which has been great for 6+ years. Called local install company who said they can't upgrade me because they weren't the original installers. Told they didn't even think they could sell me the equipment if I wanted to do a self...
