Here's a picture of that serial number/ date stamp. Sorry for the poor focus. It's fairly evident that they used a mold insert to change the numbers for each dish or lot during manufacturing.

I have a Match Box Pro and it works fine with both of my computers (XP MCE & XP Home.) The only thing I can think of would be to make sure the coaxial cable is indeed connected to the LNB-In input. That would be the outer connector on the Match Box Pro... Good Luck!
