Well I think WVEC-13 HD will go live tomorrow sometime. I am already seeing the channel in my program guide as 813. We will see if it gets activated.

Also heard that CW-27 has a contract with Verizon for their HD channel and are working on getting the fiber lines connected to their station now. Hopefully we will have this channel added soon too.

I see Cox has added A&E HD channel to their line up. Hopefully Vz will get this channel added soon.

I know Direct TV is scheduling 100 HD channels to go live this fall. Hopefully Verizon will be able to keep up with Direct TV in adding new HD channels.

In my neighborhood they bored most of the new fiber into place, but there were test holes done to find underground utilities, especially a gas and water main. Also the will dig out an area for the junction boxes to be placed. Usually will have between two houses.

My neighbor has Verizon fios Tv and Internet and is using Vonage for his telephone. he said that he has no problem with it. Acutally he said he had to turn down the volume since it was so clear over Verizon's internet.

I heard that Verizon will add Channel 13 WVEC on Aug 8, 2007. We will see if my sources were correct soon.

When I got installed with Fios, they didn't run Cat 5 cable for my internet. Everything was connected on the outside of the house using the coax cables. As for the DVR its very similar to Cox. I did noticed that the sound is constant volume when it switched from program to advertisement...

Install went good. Enjoying the great video quality of the Fios. The internet is a little faster than my Cox (5meg down; 2meg up).
