arlo, I’m working with an 8 foot solid I bought about 5 years ago. Works well…just finished removing some rust on back of dish, lnbf arm and pedestal. Still working to get 4180H 30,000. I get 4020H 30,000 at 11.2 dB. John

arlo, After scanning this satellite 3 times yesterday and getting no horizontal channels. I just scanned it and got all horizontal except for 4180H 30,000. Go figure…what changed from yesterday? I didn’t do any work at the dish since this happened. John

Hi arlo, No bees in the LNB… the blue cap cover prevents that. All was fine until 2 days ago. Strange how the horizontal channels come in fine on other satellites. Thanks for your response. John

Hi all, Well the issue ended up being the end of the arm I repaired. It was off center just enough to affect my horizontal polarity. Once I removed the repaired end from the scaler and replaced it with wire tie the horizontal polarity returned 👍 Now I just have to make a more permanent repair...

Hi all, Well changing the coax cable going from the meter to the lnbf made no difference. I’ve been using 105W and the vertical channels are coming in strong. The two horizontal channels I’ve been able to scan in have a decent signal (10.4 dB), but are too pixilated to watch. John

Hi Cham, The Sathero 300HD is capable of receiving S2 signals and has for me in the past. I’m beginning to think that it might have seen better days. I’ve had it about 7 years and have never dropped it. I’m going to try primestar31’s suggestion shortly. Thanks for replying. John

primestar31, Thanks for responding. I will try your suggestion of using another coax between my meter and the lnbf. Bringing my receiver out to the dish would be a pain in the ass as I’d have to bring a TV out there also. There are no switches between my meter and the lnbf. John

Brct203, You are correct. Vertical is there and horizontal isn’t when rotating the lnbf 90 degrees. I’m using the sat meter at the dish. Will be interesting to see what the result is when checking polarities with my kU lnb. Thanks for checking in. John
