    *Updated* Super Joey Upgrades

One thing I learned is to switch from Joey to Super Joey requires that the Super Joey requires a RG6 cable directly from the dish. This was a problem in my case. The Joey can run on RG59.

Joey works but black screen on Hopper

Finally found someone with Dish that knew their stuff. While the remote would work, they suggested pushing the "power" button on the Hopper. This solved the problem. They said it was software related.

Joey works but black screen on Hopper

Yes it is connected to the TV. I don't think it is the cable because if you turn the Hopper off, the little help tip/screen saver comes on. This indicates that the Hopper can reach the TV. If you toggle the power on the Hopper, it's start up sequence shows up on the TV then goes black.

Joey works but black screen on Hopper

I have an issue with my set up. My Hopper TV has a black screen except when the Hopper is starting. If you go to the Joey TV, all works well including watching DVR recordings. I have gone through all the resets, unplugging etc. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

    Hopper vs 922, 722 (non k), 211 w/DVR EHD

Prime time recording, auto hop, 2 TB disc, and being able to record 4 PT and 2 other channels is well worth the switch for me.

    Thanks for Auto Hop

This feature works really good. We tried it on 2 shows last night and it worked flawlessly. Does it work on all recordings or just primetime?
