    Directv HD Quality Sucks!

You're comparing the Avatar Blu-Ray which has an average MPEG-4 AVC bitrate of 28.8Mbps... to HD channels of a provider where we know the bitrate doesn't even make it into the teens. I think your expectations are a bit off; No provider of HD channels whether cable or satellite can compare to...

    need a GeoSatPro mount part

Oy. That's correct. Somehow it was already inside my J-tube but the part was still shrink-wrapped... LOL. Not sure how it happened... Cheers, Kermee

    Lost some channels on G19

If you're setting the LO to 11929, that's wrong and off by a factor of 1179 MHz. -- But that's okay since you're compensating for them... I noticed you posted: 13108V 22000 (RTA) and 13045V 22000 (Ariana TV). Those should be: 11929V 22000 (RTA) and 11867V 22000 (Ariana TV). It's working on...

    need a GeoSatPro mount part

Double-check inside the actual J-mount tube. Mine ended up stuck *WAY* inside the pole during shipment and it doesn't 'rattle' when you shake it. I just found a small screwdriver and dropped it in one end of the tube and the U-shaped bracket came flying out the other end. Cheers, Kermee

    Focal point of GEOSATpro 90cm?

Just an update... I finally got around to doing the 'string test' and the dish passed with flying colors. -- As a last resort, I decided to 'slide' the LNBF towards the dish and all of a sudden, the Q jumped by about 20 points and it was locked solidly on 11966H. Guess I should of done that...

Issues with Directv and New WI-Max Internet

5.9 GHz is a harmonic of 11.8 GHz and depending on how bad the leakage and power is... it's close enough to cause issues in the Ku-band most likely... Cheers, Kermee

    H24 Audio to Older Receiver

Most likely, you're going to have to use the SPDIF/optical out from the LG, use an SPDIF/optical to RCA stereo converter, and plug it into the Pioneer receiver that way. Something like this: Digital Coax & Optical Toslink to Analog Audio Converter Make sure the H24's audio-out is set to...

    Focal point of GEOSATpro 90cm?

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions! When I was assembling the dish, I should of checked the dish for warping and the fact that many people pointed out that it may not be 'visibly' detectable, I have a feeling I missed it. I'll check it this week and update with what I find. Thanks again...

    DTV-Slingbox

I have an HR20 hooked up to a Slingbox PRO-HD and it works great. Just use the component cables and the Red/White audio cables and you're basically set. Cheers, Kermee

    Focal point of GEOSATpro 90cm?

Hi Mikey11, *Nod* -- Thanks for the info. I gathered that the 'Q' numbers reported were definitely a bit lower vs. other models/brands for the same 'Q' from researching and searching here on the forum before I signed up to post. When I was tweaking the dish, I noticed that if the Q number...

    Focal point of GEOSATpro 90cm?

Hi All, I finally got a chance to setup a GEOSATpro 90cm I purchased about a year ago with a GEOSATpro SL1 and I'm aiming at Galaxy 19 (97W). Currently using a Sonicview SV-8000HD that was given to me by a friend who no longer uses it. I got the LNBF skewed about -21 degrees and I can get...
