DLNA started working tonight(without a HIC); I turned on UPnP on my router and reset the hopper. The hopper registered port 5101 on the router and DLNA instantly started working. I'm not sure why this would matter but does anyone else without a HIC see the same port forwarding on their router?

Mine magically started working last night. I do not have a HIC and I only tried from the hopper, I doubt the joeys would have worked without the HIC. The hopper was able to see both the windows media server and the tversity server.

I just spent 30 minutes in tech support chat hell and they refuse to give one to me and won't send anyone out to install it. Frustrating.

So if HIC is the answer... Have you all had to pay for one or is Dish giving them away?

Does this have anything to do with this? On a Joey, when I go to settings>network setup>broadband and choose MoCA at the top the home network connection status shows disconnected. I have mine setup that way right now. It works fine.

My install just took one tech 4 hours. This included a new dish and running one new coax line through the attic to a new TV location. It was his first H/J install; he seemed to follow the printed directions he had and didn't have any problems.

I have an install for Hopper/Joeys scheduled for Saturday. Trying to get everything off the old receiver and I noticed under system info: "LNB Drift Detected". Is the LNB going to be replaced with the install or should I say something and try to get the installer to replace it anyway?

I have been a Dish customer for ~10 years, I haven't upgraded equipment in 4 or 5 years. I got 1 Hopper and 2 Joeys for $100 with a 24 month commitment. The install was free if I added the protection plan. The only bad thing was they couldn't do the install today :)
