    630 pvr noisy when off

I've been also having some other "hangs" type problems that require unplugging to recover from. During the power on sequence I see, at one point, in the display a code "Hdn1." Does anyone know if this is normal?

    630 pvr noisy when off

Thanks for the speedy replies. I now understand it's normal to have the hdd spinning and the pvr warm even when it's in "standby" mode. I guess I just have a noisy hdd:( Or, perhaps it's a fan, if there is one in this pvr.

    630 pvr noisy when off

When I power off my 630 pvr the green lite goes off and it seems to be off. However, there's still either a hdd or a fan noise clearly audible. The unit stays quite warm too. Is this normal?

    E75 quad lnb

Yes, it's the "beer can" style I'll be replacing with the "quad" lnb. It's so I can add my third SC receiver. It's good to hear I shouldn't need to re-align the dish. I've been told by SC I'll need to call and have all receivers "hit" to update the type of lnb I'll be using.

    E75 quad lnb

I currently have a SC e75 dish with a stacked lnb. I've also heard it called "wishbone" and "flashlight" style. I'm going to exchange it for an e75 quad lnb. Is it likely I'll need to re-align my dish? Is the signal strength likely to be higher or lower?
