    I have two Philips DSX5500 that I got from DirectTV about a year ago. Unfortunately, I am no longer subscribed to DirectTV. Is there a way to unlock the satellite receiver / change its firmware to operate it as a "normal" satellite receiver and use it with other satellites?

    What can I use the USB port on my DishNetwork DVR 522 for? Can I get my recorded shows to my computer through this port or connect a keyboard to my receiver? Michael
