    Got to say my HR22 is much faster response. Outside of the red tint issue occurring during playback of recorded shows I have liked this release. The black background is great looking and the fast response is a welcome change. I guess they had too many issues and pulled the Sat download.

    I think we have the capability to add a external drive to our DVRs right but I think they are tied to the receiver and could not be moved to your new one. Have not really kept up with the info them as I never looked at using one.

    It's happening to most DVRs and the date 7/14 is probably what is causing it - and every hour the DVRs will update to the date that D* is sending down via sat - 7/14 so it will continue to crash until D* fixes it.

    Been with D* since 96' and waited out the new Sat to go up and bring the HD channels. Not disappointed at all in the quality and quantity. Would only consider quitting for FIOS.

    Good move since on Thursday when I was talking to a CSR - he told me they were already on. :) He did go back and check (as we was working on some other issues for me) and confirmed some technical issues delayed it - his words: soon

    Why not look at mounting it somewhere else besides the roof? Side of the house, a pole???? The service contract is worth it. I have it and used it for them to realign my dish. I am sure it would cover moving the dish.

    I've not had any issue with any CSRs at Directv. And most have really tried to be helpful and understanding and never have I talked down to them. I have found them to be like you bright and caring. I suspect most issues are the callers skill or lack of in negotiations - and in respecting the...
