I live in metro Atlanta and have in the past successfully used a cheap OTA antenna for HD locals fed directly into my HDTV prior to getting my 722 DVR.
At present I have TurboHD Bronze and local channels, no problems at all.
Is it possible to get seamless operation with local channels...
My 50" plasma is proudly mounted on the newly constructed fireplace surround and it looks great. The DVR is remote mounted under the floor in the basement out of sight.
The setup works perfect and now I need to add a surround sound unit but I'm not interested in having those cheap ugly...
I need to install a wall plate HDMI at the TV and run about 20' away with another HDMI wall plate at the 722. All I find are 15' HDMI cables which likely aren't long enough.
Can raw HDMI cable and connectors be purchased for custom installation?
Thanks for your help.
722 as nothing else is connected. If it was the TV then it would show up when the set is turned on.
The message is displayed for a few seconds while the Dish screensaver is on (before you press select).
Each time the 722 turns on in the morning I get this message "set current time for timer recording or reminder". I have no manual timers setup and I can't find any other timer issues.
Anyone know what this means?
Thanks,
They do charge a $5 monthly DVR fee when leasing. However my past experience with a 522 was when it quit working they sent me a replacement swapout. No additional charges.
My dish bill will be ~$72 for AM200 and 722HD after the promo is over.
Yes thas rediculous for TV in my opinion but we do watch it everyday and watching SD on my 50" LG plasma after I've seen true HD, well it just ain't right.
Take the extra $20 out of the wifes beer money and enjoy the great...
A written policy from Dish would solve the problem, especially if shown to them prior to you showing up.
I worked with my installer to get exactly what I wanted. He gave me a spool of coax and into the attic I went. When he first arrived he sort of rolled his eyes when I told him what I wanted...
Dish HD 722 with America's 200
$100 mail-in rebate credit for 722 upgrade.
Free HD programming for 6 months @ $20/month credit.
My final cost after rebates expire ~ $74/month including DVR Advantage and monthly DVR lease fee.
To stinkin much for TV, but I'm hooked.
For the America's 250 it...
Yes it's true.
Finally my rebate showed up on the tracker webpage, but the zip code was wrong.
I wrote ceo@echostar an email explaining this and I was concerned the rebate would be hosed forever. I received an reply the same day asking for a few details and the rebate was taken care of on...
FBN is about making money and making it work for the average person, and for me it has nothing to do with news, political or otherwise.
I consider it a DYI for your wallet. For those that already have more money than they can possibly use and give away, I can see that the network may be a...
I'll trade CNN. HNN, Bravo, Oxygen, MSNBC, CNBC and a few more useless channels for FBN.
Of course I'd give them away for free if the truth be known.
But I do want FBN...
Don't knock it if you don't know what it's about.
I live 30 miles south of downtown Atlanta. Which transponders does my system use?
Just curious which ones should be visible when I use the switch test.
