    DPH34 switch

I just discovered this little item on Solid Signal's website. Doesn't seem to be much info out there anywhere else yet. https://www.solidsignal.com/Dish-Pro-Hybrid-34-Switch-ES225096 It's supposed to be a replacement for the DPH42. Hybrid switch, 3 inputs, 4 outputs, and 3 cascade ports to add...

    two diseqc switches

I am thinking I have some understanding of how this stuff works, but I'm fuzzy on what exactly is meant by committed and uncommitted. Just found your post which explains it so no need to go thru it again here.

    two diseqc switches

I'm sure a33 will correct me but let me take a stab at this. With the T connector splitting your single output monoblock to ports 1 and 2 of your external switch. When you select port 1, the external switch "opens" port 1, the port 1 command passes thru and the monoblock selects LNB 1. When...

    OTHER Cascading DiSEqC switches

I'm in a situation where I need more than 8 LNBFs connected to my receiver(s). I have sketched out two diagrams based on the equipment available to me. A 4-port 1.0 with multiple 8-port 1.1 behind it, and an 8-port 1.1 with multiple 4-port 1.0 behind it. The receiver allows me to specify for...

    Bullet LNBFs

Yeah, the only thing I've ever seen that could possibly do that is the old SuperDish 121 assembly. It had a convoluted set of angled feedhorns that split out into 119 and 121, and had the screw-on flanges so the LNBs could be swapped out. I used to have one of those ...somewhere. But I may have...

    Bullet LNBFs

I remember the GEOSATpro Bullet LNBFs, even installed a few back in the day for GloryStar systems. It looks like they've not been mentioned in around 15 years. Is there anything similar still available anywhere? I have been searching but found nothing except the old reviews and occasional...

Best LNB and Bracket for HughesNet 90cm Dish

Thanks for these pictures! I just discovered yesterday that I have one of these in my stash, had completely forgotten about it. This will be my project for the upcoming weekend.

    Antenna types

There is a switch built into the multi-head units. If it's Hybrid (without a hopper attached) or DishProPlus, Wally should be fine with a single cable from any output. If it's just DishPro, probably but not sure, since they enabled those as dual-tuners they might require Plus.

My KU FTA system is back online.

Very nice setup! I've been buying something from Hyper Casey about once a week lately.

    SES15 at 129W - is anything there?

I'm not 100% sure on the DirecTV specs, but the Slimline is just a bit smaller than a SuperDish and takes a variety of multi-LNB assemblies on the end of it. I do know some of DirecTV's satellites are standard Ku vs DBS/DSS band, so I'm guessing one of those is probably what their center LNB...

AMIKO Amiko mini 4k uhd receiver questions

The box also has a tendency to lock up during scans, requiring power off/on, or in extreme cases power cord reboot.

    SES15 at 129W - is anything there?

Yep, that's just what was left in my pile of LNBFs. For some reason the universals seem easier to find and less expensive than standard. Also, since it's only one transponder and one polarity, I can use an old DirecTV SWM splitter to distribute it (at least for now, maybe someday there's more...

    SES15 at 129W - is anything there?

Success! DirecTV slimline, with a universal LNBF. Looks pretty weird due to the 47.7 degree skew. They are showing an outdoor view of a city with smoke. I'm guessing it's Gaza.

    SES15 at 129W - is anything there?

Thanks guys! I already have another SuperDish centered on 117 with 123 right next to it. If it's just the one channel on 129, unless it's got some really good stuff I want to see, it will have to wait. SuperDish is oval 24h x 33.5w.

    SES15 at 129W - is anything there?

I am in need for someone who has an antenna pointed at 129, Ku band, to tell me if anything is there. Lyngsat says 12122 H 17000 should be Reuters Live. I have cobbled a linear LNBF onto the 129 position of my Superdish/Dish1000+ but for the life of me I can't get anything no matter how much...

    OTA Adapter Questions

Resurrecting this thread because it is interesting, and I have a somewhat related question. Where's the recommended place to report incorrect guide info for locals? In the Mobile/Pensacola DMA, the Dish-delivered channels WJTC 44-00 (UTV) and WFNA 55-00 (CW) have the correct info, but their -01...

    Intelsat 18 180.0E Ku

Maybe, it's definitely below my horizon so I have no way of verifying anything. I just don't remember ever seeing the same frequency with both H and V polarities on the same satellite before.

    Intelsat 18 180.0E Ku

Weird, Lyngsat shows 11155 as both V and H, on different beams.

    Dish Price Increases (2024-25)

Wait what? PTAT works without the locals package? Or you're saying that if I do record something OTA in prime time, the skipping of commercials will work, not that it will somehow record all four OTA channels.

    Dish Price Increases (2024-25)

So this increase has brought a couple questions to my mind. 1. Looks like I can save $12 (possibly $15) by dropping the locals entirely, and setting up timers for anything in prime time (honestly, there's hardly anything there that we want to see). Will my H3 still get guide info for those -01...

    How to repair antenna wire

Assuming enough slack in the wire, you can strip it, twist together securely, and wrap with electrical tape (or other tape in a pinch). For safety, make sure to remove power first. More professional would be solder and heat-shrink tube if you have the tools and supplies available [likely if you...

AMIKO Amiko mini 4k uhd receiver questions

If anyone has the ear of the firmware developers for this box, the NTP clock sync needs some work. As far as I can tell, it only syncs that one time when you configure it, and drifts horribly. Have to go in settings and piddle with it to get another sync. It needs to periodically sync.

    Lost channels on DISH

From your mention that you "restarted our Winegard satellite dish" I am guessing this is a mobile/RV installation? These type antennas can typically point at only one satellite at a time, and when your receiver is asking it to move to the other one, there is something going wrong. It could be a...
