Well for the time being, back to the good old 42 remote.

Well, good idea but no joy. What I discovered the remote does not turn off the soundbar at all unless I hit side aux button, otherwise it is always on.

I hit Sat button early this PM before Power and and got no warning. 30 Min later, without hitting Sat, got the warning. Hopper is set for 4 hours before going into standby. Will try the RF/IR experiment tomorrow.
