Yes this article mixes up frequency assignments with other stuff. NA divvies up frequencies too just like Europe does otherwise stations would step all over each other. For a listener or viewer the question is if they can subscribe to a service from another country and thats about local laws but...
Wow that's a lot of ppl! But if its an RV park that means ppl don't live in the US all the time so wouldn't you all just put your SD subscription on vacation until you get home and not cancel it?
Well duh that's why I said that Shaw didn't send out notices about F2. I was just following up on Stecle's fly on the wall question I was curious about this question too.
Also I wonder if any ppl in the US or Mexico didn't know about this and called Shaw when there channels went out. I know Shaw has been telling ppl to upgrade to 800s but I don't think they told ppl anything about F2 b'cuz ppl in Canada wouldn't have a problem with it going away and Shaw wouldn't...
He said "And yes, I am well aware of the service going down permanently in the spring, probably in the February timeframe. But that still gives a few months of watching Canadian TV" so he does want to go to the bother. The question is if he can activate the rcvr from F2.
FerryD I think I read...
Did I read that you can't buy a 800 rcvr from a satellite store any more you have to get them from Shaw? If thats true that's a bummer since like you said they won't ship one to the US. Can you buy one secondhand on eBay? Or get it shipped to Canada and then have a friend send it to you? If you...
94-96 aren't channels theyre Bajasat's signal strengths for the channels he said.
Even on a barker channel you can go into the settings and see the signal strength. Or do it on TCM.
if by modulation changes you mean HEVC no they are still MPEG. I think dual feed always means F2 and G1.
Technical Information: Dual Feed from November 16 – November 30, 2023, remaining in MPEG-4
The CATV and MPEG will be provided once finalized.
There's a whole bunch more you didn't list that are supposed to go away next month too.

Even if your Shaw acct isn't active you can get a couple channels and others would say unsubscribed. Some body here can tell you what channels are open I'm not up to date on that.
