    Countdown!

Not quite true. Comcast has added USA HD in many areas, including where I live, the Chicago market.

Comcast Sportsnet Chicago- Chicago Blackhawks home games on tv in HDTV

They have said that it would take more time to arrange that. Rumor today is that they may have 11-12 home games on this season.

Wow, Directv doesn't offer any locals there either. You are in what seems to be a Digital Blackhole.

    ESPN Cubs Blackout

It sounds to me like someone @ E* screwed up then. I'll bet they thought/assumed/we're told/ that the local rights to the game were with Comcast Sportsnet. If that was the case, all of you would have been able to see the game there. But, since it was WCIU, the ESPN feed showed only have been...

    ESPN Cubs Blackout

...on WCIU in Chicago. CSN offers CSN+ when they have 2 games at once, but CLTV picks that up in Chicago on Comacast & the ALT channels get it on E* & D*. And, as of right now, the WGN produced sports on WCIU are the only HD that I've seen as well, & you do need an antenna, becuase I don't...

    ESPN Cubs Blackout

You're right, if you're out of the WCIU footprint, you should have gotten the game on ESPN.

    ESPN Cubs Blackout

Oops, you weren't the Original Poster, my Bad. He said he was in the Chicago market, so he would have had the game on WCIU. You should have had it on ESPN, correct?

    ESPN Cubs Blackout

Where are you? Do you not get WCIU? They have the Chicago market rights to the game, so ESPN is blacked out in Chicago. The alt channel cannot be opened up for a non RSN. If you are outside of WCIU footprint, then ESPN should not have been blacked out.

    ESPN Cubs Blackout

That's only if Comcast is carrying he game, the alt channels are alternate RSN's. Tonights game is not on an RSN, so it can't be on an alt. The Reds are on 2 RSN's, Fox Ohio & Sports SOuth. Probably an alt for each of those.

    ESPN Cubs Blackout

He's watching OTA. Since WCIU has the game, ESPN is blacked out. Alt is blacked out becuase it is a feed for another area's RSN. So, actually, no one screwed up, OP just needs to watch the game on WCIU.

Statement from Dish on A&E HD, History HD and NFL HD

Our Comcast system has just put the SD feed of NFL & A&E on the HD channels.

Comcast Sports Chicago HD is HERE!

Actually, I get WGN-HD & CSN-HD thru Comcast. My OTA is aimed north to Milwaukee. I can still get most of the Chicago stations still, but the only one I really care about is WCIU since Comcast doesn't carry it and there are some Cubs, Sox & Bulls games in HD there. CSN studio shows are in HD.

Comcast Sports Chicago HD is HERE!

Don't remember & maybe it's been changed since I had E*, but when I signed up for locals they had to put a dish @ 61 for me to get all the channels. I've been gone from E* for 2 1/2 years. (I left when CSN went on the air & have had the HD version since the day it came on.) So I haven't kept...

Comcast Sports Chicago HD is HERE!

I think some of the Chicago local channels are on 61, so to get CSN-HD you'll have to give up other stuff.

What will you do if Dish doesn't add the Big Ten Network?

BTN cost is $1.10 per subscriber in the Big Ten states and $.10 per subscriber in the rest of the country. Pretty High cost in the Big Ten states & thats why no major cable company here has picked it up yet.

Comcast Sports Net Chicago in HD or NOT??

From what I've read in other threads, CSN-Hd & NESN are taking the longest to get on E* because they require Full Time coverage. On the other HD RSN's E* is only carrying the games in HD, not other programming. CSN is insisting that they caryy all HD programming, as is NESN, and E* doesn't...

Doesn't matter that it was an accident, it's not a covered loss in the policy, therefore, they aren't going to pay the claim. Actually, since there is an active recall on the WII controllers due to this issue, you may have a claim to pursue with Nintendo, if the wrist strap breaking was the...

Trust me, it's not covered by his basic homeowners insurance. From a 23 year insurance agent. & it's probably not a claim that would be worth filing. It cpould hurt. After your deductible, if they did pay may lose a claim free discount, generally 15-20%. Goes away for 5 years. If it's less...

As of today, I'm now a former E* Customer

The only reason I went to Comcast 2 years ago was Comcast SportsNet HD. No other reason. I was very content with E* until the point when Chicago Sports teams switched from FSN to CSN. & At the time I switched, E* was not carrying CSN-Chicago in SD or HD. The SD version was added 4/1/05...
