You should be able to control the aspect ratio in SD with your TV. I believe that is how the 6000 worked. On the 6000 I always watched upconverted sd anyway.

First off the aspect modes on the 6000 do work. There are 5 of them. All 5 modes should be available for the 811 in the next software release. Now if you screen is off center there is a menu option under setup to adjust the position. I don't think there is a need right now to adjust your TV.

I'm using a Pronto TSU3000 and a Pronto Neo on my 501 and 811. It's working great and discrete on and off codes area available.

Mine seems to be working on both modes ok also. It's connected to an Onkyo AVR.

I let the Dish tech install it with my help. I hooked everything up... he worked the remote and called dish to authorize. I am using the component outputs going to a 55" Mits RPT.

Scott, the Nashville warehouse has a bunch just waiting to go. This was directly from a dish installer that has been training on them.

When Dish was here installing my 811 today the installer said that they have a stock of them here localy just waiting on word to install them. So I guess they are just waiting on working software.

Now you just need a programmable remote like the Pronto so that all your wife has to do is press a button and all the inputs are set as you need them.

My 811 is on the way now. So I can upload some by this afternoon.

Pete, have you ever had a 6000 receiver to compare the SD to? On the 6000 I have been watching SD upconverted to 1080i and do get a softer look. My 811 should be installed this morning so I should be able to compare the two.

The 6000 remote DOES work with the 811. There is way too much misinformation on here.....

WOW my 6000 just sold on Ebay within 4 hours and my 811 install is not until Wednesday. If I had know I would of upped the by it now price. I can't believe the 6000's are moving so quickly.
