I just don't understand the logic with some of you guys. Tell me you wouldn't be upset if you purchased a car that had problems. That at least once a day it just quit while your driving down the highway. Ir your radio quits working and you have to turn the car on and off to make it start again.

Just as mentioned above run a check switch. With the new software it will appear to be hung up. For some reason it no longer counts up as it checks. Just give it some time especially if you have legacy equipment.

This has happened to me a couple of times. A reset fixed it. But we shouldn't have to be reseting the reciever all the time.

Re: Called Dish no 811 I dont understand. I went to Dish Depots web site the day after Christmas and was able to order one. It was shipped out yesterday and will be here tomorrow. I was also able to get in on the $149 deal several weeks ago.

This is getting very frustrating. One of the reasons I moved from the 6000 to the 811 was for the 48 hr. guide. Si far it is no better at all.

I think what sinnfein07 meant was that the satellite delivered locals are not mapping to the real channel number. Such as channel 8550 mapping to channel 2. The model 6000 did not do this either and it is because of the OTA feature of both receivers. As to hemway's problem it is really...

No I DO understand the problem. I have a widescreen Mits. When viewing SD material through S-Video I use the TV's aspect control (Standard, Expand, Partial Zoom, Full Zoom, Gray Bars). If your widescreen TV doesn't do this then you should have a problem with the TV manufacturer and not DISH.

That is becasue it only does it when it has to download the information. If you hit guide then wait for the picture in guide, then cancel and then go back to the guide it will be there. Not sure how long it can go with out having to grab the info again.

I'm not sure that it should. When using S-video you would just use your televisions aspect controls.
