I believe I read somewhere that Dish Network HD-DVR's use about 47 watts on or off. Now take all the HD-DVR's that are running 24 hours and the amount of power to run these DVR's is alot.

It would be nice to see a adjustment in the menu to adjust lip sync forward or backwards in milliseconds. Just like a right/left adjustment for the HD picture.

Since this site is loaded with good people with alot of satellite knowledge how about the risk to our investments in receivers and monthly programming. Does Dish Network have any spare satellites in orbit if a main satellite is unable to survive a solar storm?

I do not think Dish Network expects any problems with the 211. PPV, billing, VOD, receiver signal strength, connection to other houshold Dish Network receivers, internet surfing and e-mail.............. the ethernet port is a great revenue generator.
